Tru-Frame®️ Security Screen Doors

ViewGuard™️ Security Door Screens.

Tru-Frame®️ Security screen doors of the type and sizes in the plans and/or called for in this specification shall be furnished with all the necessary fasteners as herein specified with the basic design of the door to be a tubular master frame with an integral stainless-steel screen mesh.

The ViewGuard™️ frame shall be a commercial quality and of proper alloy for door construction, free from defects that would impair strength and durability. All extruded sections shall be 6063 T-5 alloy and tempered.

The ViewGuard™️ tubular door stile shall be extruded aluminum, and exposed face width shall be at least 4 5/8″ x 1 3/8″ thick with a nominal wall thickness of .093. The tubular surround shall be extruded aluminum, 1 7/8″ x 1 9/16″ with a .093 wall thickness. The bottom expander, exposed face, width shall be at least 1 3/4″ x 1 1/2″ thick with a nominal wall thickness of .060.

The screen mesh, in the ViewGuard™️, is Meshtec which shall be 316 series stainless steel, .031 wire woven in a 11 x 11 mesh and polyester, epoxy coated for additional corrosion protection.

The hinge on the ViewGuard™️ shall be a continuous geared hinge running the full length of the hinge stile and securely anchored to the surround and hinge with screws on 12″ centers.

Doors shall be assembled in a secure and workmanlike manner. The tubular master frame shall be of mitered construction, joined at each corner by eight (8) screws into an extruded aluminum corner/gusset.

Anodizing finish of extruded aluminum door frame and members shall be anodized 201 R-1 commercial bronze.

Standard paint finish of extruded door frame and members shall be a high gloss White, thermal setting polyester coating.

The Tru-View™️ Security Screen Door.

Tru-Frame®️ Security screen doors of the type and sizes in the plans and/or called for in this specification shall be furnished with all the necessary fasteners as herein specified with the basic design of the door to be a tubular master frame with an integral stainless-steel screen mesh.

The Tru-View™️ frame shall be a commercial quality and of proper alloy for door construction, free from defects that would impair strength and durability. All extruded sections shall be 6063 T-5 alloy and tempered.

Tru-View™️ door members shall be a tubular, extruded aluminum stile with an exposed face if at least 3″ x 1″ thick with a nominal wall thickness of .062. The Z-Bar surround shall be 1 1/8″ x 1/2″ with a .050 wall thickness. The bottom expander shall be at least 1 3/4″ x 1 1/8″ with a .050 nominal wall thickness.

The screen mesh, in the Tru-View™️, is Meshtec which shall be 316 series stainless steel, .0315 wire woven in a 11 x 11 mesh and polyester, epoxy coated for additional corrosion protection.

The hardware shall be compatible for an aluminum door. The closer is pneumatic in style and shall be 1 1/4″ in diameter and 10 1/4″ in length. This is subject to change. The handle set includes a Kwik-Set compatible key cylinder and thumb turn with a stainless-steel strike plate.

The doors shall be assembled in a secure and workmanlike manner. The tubular master frame shall be of mitered construction joined at each corner by four (4) screws into an extruded aluminum gusset. Doors contain three (3) stainless-steel hinges with bronze bushings per hinge leaf, each hinge securely fastened to the main frame.

The Tru-Frame®️ security screen door grille is a full coverage grille which is an extruded and expanded 6063 aluminum alloy having a common chord thickness of .297 with opening dimensions of approximately 3.275″ x 2.72″.

The screen material, behind the grille, shall be 18 x 16 x .011 charcoal aluminum wire.
